That’s the path I’m on right now.
After decades in architecture and a long journey through the ups and downs of life and business, I’ve realized that affiliate marketing may be one of the most accessible ways for someone our age to create a new stream of income heading into retirement.
And no, it’s not too late.
What Is Affiliate Marketing—Really?
Let’s keep it simple.
Affiliate marketing means earning a commission by promoting someone else’s product or service. You don’t have to create the product, handle customer service, or ship anything. You just need to share something helpful with people who need it—through a blog, email, social media, or even a simple website.
When someone makes a purchase through your unique affiliate link, you earn a percentage of the sale.
That’s it.
Why I Chose Affiliate Marketing
I’ve tried a lot of things online over the years. Most of them didn’t stick. But affiliate marketing stood out because:
There’s no inventory to manage
Startup costs are very low
It scales gradually—no need to go “all in” overnight
You can start part-time and build as you go
For someone nearing retirement, this matters. I can’t afford to waste time or money chasing shiny objects. I need a system that’s simple, ethical, and sustainable.
Why I’m Using Master Affiliate Profits (MAP)
